Jamie Lynn Spears to Teen Mom Stars: I Feel Ya!

Jamie Lynn Spears defends, offers praise for, and stands in solidarity with the stars of MTV’s Teen Mom. She can definitely relate.
Britney Spears’ younger sister, who was 16 and pregnant herself at one point, opens up about motherhood and the show in the new issue of Glamour.
“When I saw MTV’s Teen Mom was coming out, I remember thinking, Oh my God, I cannot wait to see this, there’s someone else out there,” she says.
“I mean, I feel for those girls. I’ve been that girl. Motherhood is hard. It takes bravery to be a young mom, and takes bravery to let the world watch.”
She’s such a fan, in fact, Spears even recently reached out to one of the stars of Teen Mom 2, Chelsea Houska, over Twitter to set up a play date.
Maybe they’ll meet in the middle between Mississippi and South Dakota?
Spears also talked about Casey Aldridge, her ex-fiance and the father of Maddie Briann, and how they tried to make it work, only to fall short.
The 20-year-old says Maddie sees her father one weekend a month and adds that down the road, they will warn her about having sex too young.
“Both her daddy and me will caution her about having sex,” she says. “I would hope that she would not want to do that at all, but I’m realistic too.”
In the end, she says she’ll stress balance: “I’ve got to figure out a way to communicate to her to make smart choices and the best decisions she can.”

A new Web commercial for the Kate Walsh fragrance Billionaire Boyfriend has been released and we don’t want to say it’s racist…
… but it’s definitely something.
In the spot (below), the Private Practice star dons a great deal of bling, sports a serious grill and is flanked by a white dude in a blonde afro.
“The idea was always luxe,” the actress says of the ad. “It’s kind of a throwback to times when things were just sexy and romantic, and that fantasy of James Bond movies, Monte Carlo, driving down the coast in a sports car… la dolce vita.”

Tony Cornelius Recounts Final Phone Call with Father

A few hours before Don Cornelius committed suicide, he talked to his son.
So said Tony Cornelius himself today in an interview on CBS, telling Gayle King that his famous father – who founded Soul Train in 1970 and ended his life via a gun shot to the head – called him just hours before pulling the trigger. Tony described the chat as a “call of urgency.”
He was “unhappy about some things” in life, Tony added, expounding: “You have to be in a person’s shoes really to understand. Obviously, me being extremely close to him, I could tell that he was uncomfortable.”
Still, Tony says no one in the family had any idea that Don’s state had grown so dire, nor that he would take this extreme, final step.
In a strange twist, the music icon’s suicide will likely lead to a major payout to his ex-wife, due to Don’s life insurance policies, despite a bitter divorce between the two in 2009.
Leslie Carter Cause of Death Was Drug Overdose, According to Police Report

death of Leslie Carter, and it appears the 25-year-old sister of Nick and Aaron Carter died as a result of an overdose.
Three prescription drugs found near her body, according to the police report.
The report was taken by officials who responded to the 911 call. The three prescription bottles found were Olanzapine, used to treat schizophrenia and/or bipolar disorder, the muscle relaxant Cyclobenzaprine, and the anxiety medication Xanax.
Official autopsy results have yet to be released pending toxicology tests, but a source tells E! News that family members believe Leslie overdosed on pills.
Per the police report, Leslie’s stepmother Ginger found Leslie Carter’s unresponsive body around 4:10 p.m. on January 31 and immediately dialed 911.
Leslie and her daughter (she was estranged from her on-again, off-again husband) were living with her father, Robert, in Buffalo and, a source says.
There, she had been trying to wean herself off her medication.
Earlier that day, Ginger said Leslie had fallen in the shower and proceeded to sleep through the afternoon while she cared for the 10-month-old baby.
Robert came home later that afternoon and found Leslie not breathing or responding. She was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly after.
Incidentally, it was also noted in the police report that Ginger, while detailing these events, was also getting “progressively worse,” with slurred speech and that authorities noted that she, too, appeared to “be overdosing on her medication.”
She said she took an extra Xanax in the wake of her stepdaughter’s death.

Sorry Newt: Donald Trump Endorses Mitt Romney

Donald Trump endorsed Mitt Romney today in Las Vegas, Nev., contrary to earlier reports that he would get behind Newt Gingrich for the GOP nomination.
“Mitt is tough. He is smart,” Trump said, Romney at his side at a Las Vegas hotel bearing his name. “It is my honor, and privilege to endorse Mitt Romney.”
Perhaps not coincidentally, Trump’s announcement comes two days before the Nevada caucuses, and 10 days before the premiere of Celebrity Apprentice.
Probably more so the latter.
While some questioned whether Romney, a clear favorite in Nevada, would even want the endorsement of Trump, the Republican said he was glad to have it.
“It means a great deal to have the endorsement of Mr. Trump,” Romney said, referring to the publicity maven the same way contestants on his show do.
Trump told reporters in Las Vegas ahead of the official announcement that he would hit the campaign trail on behalf of the Republican front-runner.
“Well they’d like me to and I’ll do as much as I can,” Trump said, adding that he would also consider donating to the Super PAC supporting Romney.
Several media outlets, including CBS News, The AP and The New York Times, erroneously reported that Trump would endorse Newt Gingrich instead.
Trump blamed the Gingrich campaign for spreading that word. Referring to the Gingrich campaign, he said: “They put that out. You know that right?”
If so … what an epic fail by Newt.

When the 48-year-old campaigns for the importance of health and physical fitness, she leads by example, as she proved today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in L.A.
Michelle Obama accepted a bold challenge by DeGeneres to see who could do the most push-ups, with both women flinging off their dress coats on the spot.

On GaGa’s relationship with gay men:
It seems genuine. It seems natural, and I can see why she has a young gay following. I can see that they connect to her kind of not fitting into the conventional norm. I mean, she’s not Britney Spears. She’s not built like a brick shithouse. She seems to have had a challenging upbringing, and so I can see where she would also have that kind of connection, a symbiotic relationship with gay men.
On the media and its effects:
When people are writing about you in the beginning and they’re saying nice things, you’re like, ‘Oh!’ You feel this lift of energy. Then they say bad things, and of course, you’re affected by that too. I don’t really dwell on it anymore. I used to be kind of fixated on it and think, It’s not fair, it’s not fair, it’s not fair, but it is what it is, and I just have to get on with my life.
On the haters:
If you are threatened by me as a female or you think I’m doing too much or saying too much or being too much of a provocateur, then no matter how great of a song I write or how amazing of a film I make, you’re not going to allow yourself to enjoy it, because you’re going to be too entrenched in being angry with me or putting me in my place or punishing me.
On mothering:
I’m a strict mother. My daughter doesn’t know why I won’t allow her to get everything pierced or a tattoo or dye her hair blond on the tips and pink at the roots. They just really want me to just be Mom and be normal, and don’t show up dressed in any outlandish way. Just come to school, do the parent-teacher meetings. I can’t even wear a tracksuit. That attracts attention too. You know, they don’t really want to see me as a famous person or a celebrity or somebody. They don’t get it right now. They think I’m a little quirky.
On W.E.:
Like Wallis Simpson, I felt like an outsider. I thought, Life is so different here, and I’m used to being a New Yorker, and I have to learn how to drive on the other side of the road. Suddenly, I found myself living out in an English country house and trying to find my way in this world, so I decided to really take it on and do research and find out about English history and learn about the royal family.
