Quick, prior to her recent breakdown, what did you know about Demi Moore? That she appeared in one of cinema’s most iconic love scenes, married a younger man and was on great terms with her ex-husband, right?
That’s not a lot of information, especially in this celebrity gossip culture, which is why one friend tells People magazine the actress is “embarrassed” by her hospitalization and subsequent 911 call release.
“Ego-wise, this is the worst thing that could happen to Demi, because she’s such a private person,” the source says.

However, Moore practices Kabbalah, a type of Jewish mysticism that is all about overcoming adversity. Her pal hopes this faith can lead to a major turnaround.
The star’s downfall “can be an opportunity, a blessing, and not a curse,” says the mole. “The right intervention happened in her life. From a spiritual sense, it is a gift. She has a real opportunity to grow from it. She has to take responsibility for her life.”
Let’s all hope she does exactly that.

Justin Timberlake turned 31 on the 31st. Yes, we’re a day late, but we can’t resist wishing the very best to the handsome, talented actor and singer!
JT is a rarity among celebrities these days.
Not only can he thrive in the spotlight but choose to shun it when it comes to his personal life, but his career seems to improve and diversify with age.

Breaking the mold of *NSync to become a credible solo artist was one thing. Becoming a big-time artist, producer and collaborator is quite another.
Then in his foray into acting, he became a veritable A-lister in that field as well, with roles in The Social Network, Friends With Benefits and In Time.
His SNL skits are among that show’s funniest, no less. What can’t he do!
The guy also gets engaged to Jessica Biel and doesn’t tell anyone but his grandma. How cool is that? If you’re the man, you don’t need to flaunt it.
Happy birthday to the Tennessean! We look forward to following his career as always. Enjoy a little gallery of Justin Timberlake pictures in his honor:

Wanna watch the official music video for Nicki Minaj’s latest track, “Stupid Hoe?” You better scroll down and press Play.
Because you won’t find it on BET.
That network has banned the video, sources confirm to TMZ, and although no statement has been released regarding the decision, it’s clearly based on the explicit nature of both the video (which features Minaj dancing in a cage and wearing a thong, along with other nearly-naked women and a monkey) and the lyrics themselves.
Which repeat the words “stupid hoe” about 10 times per chorus.
Check out the controversial video now and then vote in our poll.
Nicki Minaj – Stupid Hoe (Official Video)
Should BET ban this video?

Scarlett Johansson’s rep has brushed off recent rumors that she’s dating Kieran Culkin or Justin Bartha, but it looks like she really is romancing somebody new.
The recently-divorced We Bought a Zoo actress, 27, is seeing an New York City-based advertising executive named Nate Naylor, a friend of the pair confirms.
“They’ve been dating for five months,” the source adds.
You can see a photo of the two of them together here.

The actress’s rep had no comment this time, but recent Scarlett Johansson photos show the happy couple strolling the Big Apple streets, holding hands.
Meanwhile, the home that Johansson and ex-husband Ryan Reynolds shared before they split up a little more than a year ago, is back on the market.
She dated Sean Penn for a few months after the split, while Ryan and Blake Lively have become a couple of late. An attractive one, it’s worth noting.

McDonald’s is no longer using the controversial ground beef filler known as “pink slime,” according to reports. That’s the good news you can take out of this.
The bad? That crap was in all the ones you already ate.
Pink slime is not its real name, but it might actually sound more appetizing than the ingredients … spare beef trimmings treated with ammonium hydroxide.
Delish.

The ammonium hydroxide is used to kill any bacteria in the trimmings. As revolting as it sounds, the additive is approved by the Department of Agriculture.
McDonald’s move comes after celebrity TV chef Jamie Oliver brought it to public attention and vocally made calls for the restaurant chain to stop using it.
The company denied that its decision was influenced by Oliver, saying it stopped using the product months ago and had discussed dropping it for a year.
Either way, you may now return to eating at McDonald’s … if you want. The mere thought of pink slime may be sticking to your memory for awhile.

HBO has released the full-length trailer for Game Change, the movie based on the book about the historic 2008 presidential campaign. The film debuts March 10.
The book Game Change chronicled the actions of both parties in the 2008 race, but the film focuses primarily on the Republican side … specifically Sarah Palin.
Julianne Moore’s transformation into former Alaska Governor – who injected life into Sen. John McCain’s struggling campaign, only to go rogue – is striking:
The 51-year-old four-time Oscar nominee stars opposite Ed Harris (McCain) and Woody Harrelson (adviser Steve Schmidt), who both look the part as well.
The trailer implies that Palin was chosen to run with McCain almost entirely for the media attention (hence the title), but that this backfired when she ran roughshod over the GOP campaign with her outsized ego and utter incompetence.
Moore said of preparing for the role: “In terms of research I did on the way campaigns are conducted, so much is about how do you get on the air, how do you get the most media attention. How do you make the most noise?”
“When in fact, what we’re all looking for as Americans is leadership, we don’t want noise. We want people who are going to take care of us.”
Way too intelligent to come from an actual political figure.
