Justin Bieber has apologized for appearing to ignore a group of fans as he made his way through an airport in France, insisting he was simply trying to escape the paparazzi.
The Baby hitmaker, who attended France’s NRJ Music Awards at the weekend, arrived at Nice Airport on Monday to board a plane to the U.S., but he found himself hounded by snappers as he tried to check in for his flight.

Their behavior prompted Bieber to try and outrun them to get through the security checkpoints and into the departure lounge, but his quick dash left some devotees disappointed as he failed to stop and acknowledge their presence.

Video footage of the alleged snub has since surfaced online, but Bieber is adamant he would never intentionally do anything to upset his young following.

In a series of Twitter.com posts on Tuesday, he writes, “the other day in the airport i got surrounded by 20 paps. I dont like small spaces and i just wanted to get on the plane. I ran to… get thru the gate and there is a video of me running by fans and on the other side you dont see the 20 paps.

“I would never run by my fans… and for those that i did pass that day I AM SORRY. I know my fans are my everything. I know my responsibility to them. I LOVE MY BELIEBERS.

“so as i get older i know i will learn to deal with these things better and better just still learning. still human. just had to get that out.”

Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner has walked away from his upcoming superhero role as Stretch Armstrong due to a scheduling conflict.
The actor signed up for the action role in 2010, dropping out of playing crimefighter Max Steel to accommodate the Hasbro project, which was originally expected to hit movie theatres this year.

But production at movie studio Universal stalled and it’s since been picked up by bosses at Relativity Media, who are now eyeing a 2014 release.

The delay in filming has prompted Lautner to step down from the title role, according to TheWrap.com.

A replacement has yet to be announced.

Music and TV mogul Simon Cowell has confirmed Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger will not be returning as star judges on the new season of The X Factor.
On Monday, host Steve Jones became the first to be dropped from the U.S. version of the program ahead of its second season, while it was rumored singers Abdul and Scherzinger would also be axed.

The two stars, who sat on the judging panel alongside Cowell and Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid, confirmed the news of their exit on Tuesday.

In a Twitter.com post, Scherzinger wrote, “I wanted to let you know directly from me that it’s true I won’t be returning to The X Factor. Looking forward to an exciting year ahead and making great music and more! I’m grateful for the love you always give me.”

And in a statement, Abdul insisted she bears no ill will towards her old pal Cowell.

She wrote, “I won’t be returning to The X Factor next season. I’ve learned through my longevity in this industry that business decisions often times override personal considerations.

“Simon and I, along with (network) Fox and (production company) Fremantle, have been communicating about this for a while now, and I have absolute understanding of the situation. Simon is, and will remain, a dear friend of mine and I’ve treasured my experience working this past season with my extended family at Fox and Fremantle.

“I want nothing more than for The X Factor to exceed ALL of their wildest dreams. This truly has been a blessing and I am most grateful.”

Meanwhile, Cowell has expressed his gratitude to the three departing stars, stating: “I want to say a massive thank you to Paula, Nicole and Steve for being part of the X Factor last year. You do develop friendships with the people you work with and Paula, in particular, is a very close friend and I expect to be working with her on another project in the near future.”

Replacements for all three open positions have yet to be unveiled.
