The View Ladies Take On The Terminator

Whoopi nails it again, y’all!
Check out the video above to see the ladies over at the View discuss the whole Arnold Schwarzy fiasco. All of the women have very strong points, and we don’t disagree with any of them on this.
However, we think Whoopi really hits a home run about feeling bad for the kids most of all. Sure, Maria is probably devastated, but she has real world experience and wisdom to help her cope — the kid’s haven’t achieved that yet. Especially the youngest one that hasn’t had the choice of being the illegitimate child! It really isn’t fair to him to be the focus of all this attention.
So while we think that Arnold is a pretty big slimeball, we respect him asking for all the heat to be directed towards him and not his family(ies).
What a stupid situation. This all could have been easily avoided, or at least dealt with right from the start, Arnold! But despite the circumstances, perhaps this accidental son of yours is destined for great things regardless of how terribly you handled it, and the people you hurt along the way.
The son really shouldn’t be looked down upon for being born in the way he was, and we hope people realize that!
Hope you’re doing okay, kid!

Oz, The Great And Powerful Gets Its Good Witch!

Looks as though the studio won!
We reported recently that both Michelle Williams and Hilary Swank were competing for The Wicked Witch of the East in Sam Raimi‘s upcoming prequel to The Wizard of Oz, called Oz, The Great and Powerful. The director had wanted Swank for the role, and Disney wanted Williams.
However, when Rachel Weisz was officially cast in the part, we thought perhaps they had met in the middle, but apparently, we were misinformed, as the other ladies were actually being considered for Glinda the Good Witch, and as of today, Williams has signed on to play her!
The film will focus on James Franco as a snake-oil salesman who is transported to Oz, and teams up with Glinda to fight her evil sisters, the other being played by Mila Kunis, which will ultimately lead to him becoming the ‘Great and Powerful’ wizard we all know from the original!
Inneresting! We think Michelle will make an EXCELLENT addition to the cast! She brings a lot of depth to every character she plays, so we’re excited to see what she does with the part!

The Winklevoss Twins Armie Hammer!
That’s right, folks. It’s been a long time coming, and now we’re very pleased to announce that The Social Network’s Armie Hammer has been cast alongside Johnny Depp in Disney’s The Lone Ranger.
We would have been happy with Ryan Gosling as well, but we’re going into this one optimistically.
We’re kind of excited and curious to see how The Hammer will do as a leading man.
Good luck, Armie! Say hi to Johnny for us!

Back in December, Miley Cyrus tapped into her religious side when she got a tattoo of a cross on her finger, while in New Orleans.
Now, Mileybird has gotten ANOTHER tattoo while in Rio de Janeiro, by Brazilian tattoo artist Fabio Sattori.

We talked about her new book, her life as a mom and wife, returning to acting, her former Full House castmates and more!

Perez Hilton: As someone who grew up watching you on television, I’ve always wanted to know, do you have a nickname that your friends call you? Is it Candy, Cam?
Candace Cameron Bure: Only my Russian mother in law calls me Candy,
Perez Hilton: Really?
Candace Cameron Bure: Yes. And no everyone calls me Candace. But on Full House I was called Candace (different pronunciation).
Perez Hilton: Candace, oh.
Candace Cameron Bure: Yes, Dave Coulier made it up, I don’t know.
Perez Hilton: Now I’ve — obviously I’m familiar with that [Christian] aspect of your life and is that something that was a new thing in you or have you always been that, that religious or was this like a born again type of thing or –
Candace Cameron Bure: I actually didn’t grow up in a Christian home.
Perez Hilton: No.
Candace Cameron Bure: But at 12, I started going to church and that became important to me.
Perez Hilton: What prompted you at age 12 to start going?
Candace Cameron Bure: My parents got separated. So a family friend had invited our whole family to go to church hoping that my parents would, maybe the church could help them work on their marriage.
Perez Hilton: Oh okay.
Candace Cameron Bure: So that’s what started it. And –
Perez Hilton: And your brother’s also very Christian too. He went with you at the time?
Candace Cameron Bure: And my two sisters, and mom and dad. So it was a whole family thing.
Perez Hilton: So it just stuck with everybody.
Candace Cameron Bure: It did. But my faith didn’t really kick into gear until I was in my early 20′s where I, where I, it became important to me not because of –
Perez Hilton: Was there something that triggered it? Like were you going through a depression or –
Candace Cameron Bure: I wasn’t. But I was going through a lot of changes in my life. Honestly, it was a book that I read called “The way of the master” by Ray Comfort that just kind of made a click for me and understand my need for the gospel and Jesus Christ.
Perez Hilton: Now, let’s talk about Full House because it is such a big part — [watch video for rest].

We’ll feed you, baby birds! We know you’ve been clamoring to know what’s going on with Mariska Hartigay‘s character on Law and Order: SVU, and why it’s happening. We also just let you know that Jennifer Love Hewitt would be taking over her character’s vacant position, because it looks like Hartigay’s is moving on to a lesser role.
The reason for the cut back is that Mariska wants to spend more time with her kids!
