Star Wars Strikes Back…On Blu-Ray

You know it’s getting real when it becomes available for pre-order on Amazon.
Star Wars is coming to blu-ray next September, and there will be a few different ways in which you’ll be able to get your sci-fi on.
The movies will be available in a complete saga set, an original trilogy set, and a prequel trilogy set.
Guess these sets should hold Star Wars fanatics over for a bit…at least until the 3D blu-ray sets are released.

Ha! As much fun as it would seem to put on your best beer jacket and ride through the Alaskan tundra, we imagine that the fuzz were right to nip that situation in the bud!
It’s definitely just as dangerous as trying to get behind the wheel of the a vehicle!

50 Cent and Sleek Audio are launching a new pair of $350 wireless headphones, which the rapper presented at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Here’s what he had to say about his new venture:

Celine Gets Candid About Her Twins

She’s not holding back!
Celine Dion recently opened up about the challenges she endures while raising newborn twins, Eddy and Nelson, and this new mommy has a lot to say.
Talking candidly about motherhood, Celine said:
“I take things day by day. That’s the secret to me. In any case, breastfeeding is more difficult if you are stressed. Sometimes I find myself in comical situations I don’t know how to get myself out of. For example, when both are feeding and one has gas while the other is burping, I don’t know which position to adopt!
Some of the first days after I came home, I was a little outside myself. I had no appetite and that bothered me. My mother remarked that she noticed I had moments of lifelessness, but reassured me that this was entirely normal.
One moment, tremendous happiness; the next, fatigue sets in, and I cried for no reason, and then that took care of itself. It’s for things like that after having a baby that mothers really need emotional support.”
It’s tiring, but an intense joy.”
We bet!! We can’t even imagine how hard it must be for Celine to be a momma to newborns while also working as hard as she does.
Although if anyone can do it, it’s Celine!

Is Elijah Wood Heading Back To The Shire?!

We like this idea! What a great way to link the films together!
Now that production is FINALLY underway on Peter Jackson‘s prequel to his Lord of the Rings series, The Hobbit, it sounds like yet another cast member from the original trilogy will be reprising his role!
Elijah Wood is reported to be portraying his role as Frodo Baggins in the opening sequence of the new film, reading a book that would re-introduce viewers to the story and the world all over again!
Lovely! Between he, Orlando Bloom and Cate Blanchett returning, we think that the The Hobbit will fit nicely as a companion to the other films!

Amber Went Out Drinking With The Paparazzi After Jail!

So much for learning that lesson!
Now that Teen Mom Amber Portwood is out of jail, one would think that she would try and get her act together, but sources close to the reality star revealed that upon her release, she instead went out DRINKING – despite being underage – with her cellmate and members of the paparazzi! And she even hooked up with one of them!
Bleck!
The insider reveals:
“Amber was partying and drinking over New Year’s weekend. She hung out with her jailmate and two paparazzos. It seems like her new friend is a bad influence and probably not someone Amber should be hanging out with. She got drunk with the paparazzi and she even hooked up with one of them. She spent the night and then the next day they went to IHOP for breakfast.”
So much for getting back together with her baby daddy, Gary Shirley!
But we suppose that ‘no contact’ order is for the best then!

The drama is finally over!
Back in October, a judge had refused to dismiss a Harry Potter plagiarism lawsuit against J.K. Rowling by the estate of late author Adrian Jacobs.
Jacobs’ estate claimed that Rowling’s book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire drew substantially from Jacob’s 1987 book The Adventures of Willy The Wizard – No. 1 Livid Land.
Judge Shira Sheindlin has dismissed the lawsuit, on the grounds that the two books were “distinctly different in both substance and style.”
More from Judge Shiendlin:
“The contrast between the total concept and feel of the works is so stark that any serious comparison of the two strains credulity.”
Here’s what spokesman Kyle Good from Scholastic (Harry Potter’s U.S. publisher) had to say about it:
“The court’s swift dismissal supports our position that the case was completely without merit and that comparing Willy the Wizard to the Harry Potter series was absurd.”
“Scholastic will continue to vigorously defend any such frivolous claims challenging the originality of Harry Potter.”
Nice to hear that this was finally resolved! We’re quite satisfied with the verdict.

John Edwards Denies Engagement To Rielle Hunter!

Although The National Enquirer is reporting that John Edwards recently proposed to mistress Rielle Hunter, only weeks after the death of his wife, Elizabeth Edwards, a spokesperson for the family has revealed:
“I can tell you that it’s not true.”
We certainly hope it’s not!
To be honest, we wouldn’t be surprised if they are, but either way, their relationship is pretty foul!
