HIGHlarious? Depends on how you look at it.
Director Charles Castillo is in the midst of making a new movie called Dogs in Pocketbooks. The flick stars Lydia Hearst as a “bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media.”
Sound familiar? If you’ve been following the story that is LiLo’s life, than it should sound all too familiar!
Now, we know most of you are thinking we’re about to head into E*Trade territory, but there is one essential ingredient missing from this equation that keeps it from totally sounding like Lilo’s life: no crazy, controlling, parentals!

Freddie Prinze, Jr. SUED!

And he probably thought that this whole mess was done with, too! Yuck!
Freddie Prinze, Jr. is reportedly being sued over a car accident for which he was responsible in 2009, because the other driver is still suffering from serious neck injuries!
According to legal documents, the actor was driving a car registered to his wife, Sarah Michelle Gellar when he rear-ended another vehicle. The driver claims that the neck problems he got that day have kept him out of work, and he’s been advised to undergo major surgery.
However, the victim apparently doesn’t even want to sue, but his insurance company is screwing him and he doesn’t have the money to get the surgery otherwise!
Just terrible! It certainly feels like this is a lose-lose situation for both parties – such a headache!
Hopefully they can resolve this whole thing as amicably as possible!

Exploring Israel: Part 2

On our second day of exploring the Holy Land, we visited Caesarea, where the remnants of the Roman occupation of Israel are visible in the unearthed theater, hippodrome and palace.
We then went to Haifa and stopped for a breathtaking view of the city and the Baha’i shrine. (above).
A very yummy and too filling lunch was had at a nearby Druze village, and it was fascinating to learn about that community.
After our meal, we headed to Nazareth, the childhood home of Jesus, and visited a few of the local churches.
It’s such a shame that so much of Israel’s history has been destroyed. Original churches and temples destroyed when new rulers occupied the land. Built again. Destroyed again.
In the grand scheme of things, the churches in Nazareth are very modern. But the history of that town is…. godly!

No Illegal Drugs Found At Teena Marie’s Home

As authorities investigate the unexpected death of R&B singer Teena Marie, law enforcement sources have confirmed that there were no illegal drugs found in her home.
Autopsy and toxicology tests are expected to be performed on her body next week, but for now, the theory is that she died of natural causes.
So sad.
Our thoughts are with her family and friends during this truly difficult time.

Little Fockers Dominates Holiday Weekend Box Office

Little Fockers may have been #1 at the box office, but True Grit was the REAL winner this weekend.
Universal’s third Fockers movie got the top spot with $48.3 million, whereas the new Coen Brothers movie earned $36.8 million.
Despite its top spot, this marked a weak opening for the Fockers film, which studios were expecting would bring in $60 million for its first weekend.
On the other hand, this weekend marked the best opening yet for a Coen Bros movie with True Grit!
A Jeff Bridges movie also took the 3rd spot, with Tron: Legacy.
Apparently Gulliver’s Travels also opened this weekend, and it landed the #7 spot with $7.2 million.
Congrats to the Coen Bros for holding their own against Little Fockers!

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Victim Filing Charges Against Assailant

Good! He has every right to seek justice for this!
Robert Kovacik, the reporter and friend of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Lisa Vanderpump who was brutally beaten on over the weekend, has officially requested criminal charges be filed against his assailant.
We’ve learned Rob’s injuries were a lot more extensive than we were originally told. He reportedly spent the morning at the office of plastic surgeon (actually the husband of Lisa’s co-star Adrienne Maloof.) We’re told that because his attacked was wearing a heavy ring, the blows to his mouth caused not only Rob’s lip to split open, but that the gash went all the way down to the muscle tissue. He had to get 5 deep sutures and 2 dozen stitches.
OMG! How horrible! Such violence should not be tolerated! We hope this person pays for what they did!

Yoko Ono Thinks John Lennon Would Have LOVED Lady GaGa!

We think she’s right! These two definitely would have had quite a bit to talk about!
Yoko Ono recently opened up about performing with Lady GaGa, and revealed that she thinks that if her husband, John Lennon, were still alive, he would have been fascinated with the pop star!
She explains:
She performed with me on stage wearing a see-through lace catsuit and people thought it was an insult because you could see her bottom. I’m the lady who did an exhibition of bottoms. How could hers offend me? She has a very lovely bottom. I think she’s wonderful. John would have loved her, because she’s an artist, she’s fearless and she pushes every limit, which we both always adored. She has played on John’s white piano and I think that’s wonderful. Life moves on and you embrace it.

Teen Mom Formally Charged With Three Class D Felonies! Warrant Out For Her Arrest!

Not good!
As of December 27th, Teen Mom‘s Amber Portwood has been formally charged by the Madison County Prosecutor’s office with three Class D felonies for her altercations with baby daddy Gary Shirley – which include two counts of domestic battery and one count of neglect of a dependent – and one misdemeanor charge of domestic battery!
Furthermore, a warrant for her arrest has been issued!
If convicted, she could face up to three years in jail and fines of up to $10,000.
Seems so unfortunate! But actions have consequences, bb!
We just want whatever’s best for little Leah!
Thoughts?? Does Amber deserve to be sentenced so harshly?
